The Parks Master Plan assesses the city-wide parks and open space system and provides strategies and recommendations to fund, maintain, improve, expand, secure, connect, partner, advocate and celebrate Fresno's parks. The Parks Master Plan would apply to the area within the Fresno Sphere of Influence. Adoption of the Parks Master Plan would require amendments to the text of section 5.1 of Chapter 5 of the General Plan, the Parks, Open Space and Schools Element, and POSS-1-a, Parkland Standard. The amendments reference the new Parks Master Plan and make a minor change to the type of land counted toward Regional Parks.
