Actions pertaining to the McKinley Avenue Street Light Installation Project from Marks to Hughes Avenue - Bid File 3574 (Council District 3)
1. Adopt a finding of Categorical Exemption per staff determination, pursuant to Section 15301(c) 1 of the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines (CEQA) for the McKinley Avenue Street Light Installation Project from Marks to Hughes Avenue
2. Award a Construction Contract with Sebastian of Fresno, California in the amount of $139,913 for the McKinley Avenue Street Light Installation Project from Marks to Hughes Avenue and authorize the Public Works Director or designee to sign a contract on behalf of the City

RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends the City Council adopt a finding of Categorical Exemption per staff determination, pursuant to Section 15301(c) Class 1 of the CEQA Guidelines, and award a construction contract with Sebastian, in the amount of $139,913 as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the McKinley Avenue Street Light Installation Project from Marks to Hughes Avenue, and authorize the Public Works Director or designee to sign a standardized contract on behalf of the City.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
McKinley Avenue currently has sporadic street light spacing between Marks to Hughes. The proposed project will install a complete, modern street lighting system on the south side of McKinley from Marks to Hughes. The project is primarily being funded by the Public Works Department's Neighborhood Street Improvement Program with the funds allocated for work in Council District 3.
