RESOLUTION - To dedicate a portion of city-owned property for water main easement purposes, located on the Inyo Street alignment, west of "H" Street (Council District 3)

RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends the City Council adopt the attached resolution ordering the dedication of a water line easement, located in the Inyo Street alignment, West of H Street, as described in Exhibit "A", and shown in Exhibit "B" of the attached resolution.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The proposed dedication is needed to accommodate the requirement for construction of a recycled water distribution system for Department of Public Utilities. The Public Works Department seeks dedication of water main easement to fulfill this requirement.

BACKGROUND

The proposed dedication described in Exhibit "A" and shown in Exhibit "B" of the attached resolution is needed to accommodate the construction of a recycled water distribution system, which is proposed by the Department of Public Utilities.

The Engineering Division, other City departments and utility agencies have reviewed the proposed dedication and determined that the easement is adequate to accommodate the requirement for construction of a recycled water distribution system, which is required by the Department of Public Utilities.

The City Attorney's Office has approved the attached Resolution as to form.

ENVIRONMENTAL FINDINGS

This project is exempt under Sections 15301/Class 1 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines, Environmental Assessment No. 2014-026.
