Authorize the Chief of Police to revise the approved agreement with Fresno Unified School District to provide eleven student resource officers at 95 percent of the actual officers' cost, a police sergeant at 90 percent of the actual sergeant's cost, plus administrative fees and the vehicle lease costs of twelve patrol vehicles for an annual total of $1,588,350.

RECOMMENDATIONS

It is recommended that Council authorize the Chief of Police to revise the approved agreement with Fresno Unified School District to provide eleven school resource officers at 95 percent of the actual officer's cost, a police sergeant at 90 percent of the actual sergeant's cost, plus administrative fees and the bi-annual lease costs of twelve patrol vehicles for a total payment to City of $1,588,350. It is also recommended that Council approve the 7th amendment to the Annual Appropriation Resolution (AAR) No. 2018-157 appropriating $222,100 to fund costs of the Student Resource Officers under the Fresno Unified School District and the Fresno County Superintendent of Schools agreement, as well as vehicles for these officers.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Chief of Police and the Fresno Unified School District have agreed to revise the contract from 100 percent to 95 percent of the officers' cost and provide the Chief of Police discretion in assignment of the Student Resource Officers (SRO) when school is not in session.
