RECOMMENDATIONS

Staff recommends that the City Council approve the Master Dual Jurisdiction Cooperative Agreement between the County of Fresno and the City of Fresno, authorize the Public Works Director, or his designee, to execute the agreement on behalf of the City of Fresno and adopt a resolution authorizing the Public Works Director, or his designee, to execute the Project Specific Supplement Agreements.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

It is common practice for the City of Fresno and the County of Fresno to execute joint construction projects to improve, repair or maintain street improvements that fall within both jurisdictions. Historically, both agencies have worked cooperatively to deliver these projects and have memorialized the roles and responsibilities in project specific cooperative agreements. The proposed Master Dual Jurisdiction Cooperative Agreement will establish the terms for future joint projects and provide the boilerplate Project Specific Supplement Agreement to simplify the routine administrative effort on future projects.
