Body
RECOMMENDATION
Youth Leadership Institute (YLI) Program Coordinator Espinoza recommends the Youth Commission to engage in volunteer opportunities.
BACKGROUND
At the September 6, 2019 Fresno Youth Commission meeting, Program Coordinator Espinoza encouraged the commissioners to participate in community service opportunities as a commission in order to create broader community partnerships, market the Youth Commission, and do good-will. The commissioners discussed and agreed to participate in community service as a commission.
At the September 27, 2019 Fresno Youth Commission meeting, the commissioners decided to research various local non-profit organizations and causes in order to narrow down the community service opportunity that they would engage in as a commission.
On November 18, 2019, the Fresno Youth Commission voted to fulfill its community service at the Poverello House on December 1, 2019 and December 15, 2019.
