RECOMMENDATIONS

Staff recommends that City Council approve the First Amendment to Consultant Services Agreement (Agreement) with Lars Andersen & Associates, Inc., (Consultant) to extend the Agreement from December 31, 2019, to December 31, 2021, for the preparation of plans and specifications for the construction of the Solid Waste Convenience Center (Facility) (Project) and authorize the Director of Public Utilities, or designee, to sign the Amendment on behalf of the City of Fresno (City).

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On October 18, 2018, the City entered into an Agreement with Consultant in the amount of $49,700 for the preparation of plans and specifications for the construction of the Facility. Due to permits processing delays and lengthy environmental review, the Agreement needs to be extended to retain the Consultant's services through the completion of the Project. This First Amendment will extend the Agreement to December 31, 2021. The current contract amount of $49,700 will remain the same with this Amendment.
