RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council approve a second amendment to the Consultant Services Agreement, dated March 7, 2016 (Agreement) in the amount of $17,850, for a total contract amount of $82,920, to provide additional consulting services required due to an expanded project scope for the Shields Avenue Bankside Trail from Fresno Street to First Street and authorize the Public Works Director or designee to sign and execute the second amendment to the Agreement on behalf of the City.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The City of Fresno Department of Public Works received Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Lifeline and Measure "C" Local funding to construct a Class I multipurpose trail along the south side of Shields Avenue from Fresno Street to First Street. The City entered into the Agreement with BKF Engineers for the Shields Avenue Bankside Trail from Fresno Street to First Street on March 7, 2016. This second amendment to the Agreement allows the City and BKF Engineers to complete Part 3 of the Agreement (Construction Documents), and move to the bid advertisement and construction contract award portion of the project.
