RECOMMENDATION

Recommend Council approve an Amended Agreement for Homeless Outreach and Assessment Services between the City of Fresno (City) and Kings View Corporation, a California Corporation (Contractor) for homeless outreach and assessment services under the Homeless Emergency Aid Program (HEAP) in the amount of $726,883 effective August 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On July 25, 2019, the City awarded a contract to Kings View Corporation for homeless outreach services under the Homeless Emergency Aid Program in the amount of $671,947 for an eighteen (18) month agreement, effective August 1, 2019, through January 31, 2021.

The City now desires to extend the agreement to June 30, 2021, an additional five (5) months; and increase the budget by $54,936, for a total budget amount of $726,883. The extension will align this agreement with the other service contracts funded the under the Homeless Emergency Aid Program.

BACKGROUND

On December 20, 2018, the State of California Coordinating and Financing Council awarded the City $3,105,519 under the Homeless Emergency Aid Program (HEAP).

On March 14, 2019, the City Council approved a spending plan to fund five (5) homeless services projects, among them this contract for Homeless Outreach and Assessment Services.
