RECOMMENDATIONS

Staff recommends the City Council adopt the 48th Amendment to the Annual Appropriation Resolution (AAR) No. 2021-178 to appropriate $1,265,000 for the Milburn and Dakota New Park Project and $730,000 for the Radio Park Renovation Project.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The City of Fresno has been awarded funding through the Statewide Park Development and Community Revitalization Program (Prop 68 SPP Program) for new park developments at Milburn and Dakota (District 1) and renovations at Radio Park (District 7). Staff recommends Council adopt the amendment to the AAR to provide appropriations in the Parks, After School, Recreation, and Community Services (PARCS) Department's Fiscal Year 2022 capital budget to sufficiently cover anticipated expenditures including project mobilization and design.

BACKGROUND

In December 2020, City Council authorized the PARCS Department's to submit grant applications and execute the related grant agreements to the Prop 68 SPP Program for the Milburn and Dakota New Park Project (District 1), Church and Orangewood New Park Project (District 5), Quigley Park Renovation Project (District 1), and Radio Park Renovation Project (District 7).
