RECOMMENDATIONS

Staff recommends that City Council approve a Consultant Services Agreement with Yao Engineering, Inc. in the amount of $59,135, with a $15,000 contingency, for the design of Fresno-Clovis Regional Wastewater Reclamation Facility Duct Bank at Primary Sludge Pump Station #1 (Project); and authorize the Capital Projects Director, or designee, to sign the Agreement on behalf of the City of Fresno (City).

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Additional electrical duct banks are needed at the Fresno-Clovis Regional Wastewater Reclamation Facility (RWRF) at Primary Sludge Pump #1. These duct banks are necessary for future electrical projects in this area. The Capital Projects Department staff performed a competitive consultant selection process and seeks Council's approval of a Consultant Services Agreement with Yao Engineering, Inc. for design and construction support of the Project in the amount of $59,135, with a $15,000 contingency. Funding for this purchase is included in the Fiscal Year 2024 Capital Improvement Budget within the Wastewater Management Division's Sewer Enterprise Fund 40501.
