RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends Council approve the Transportation Art Project Maintenance agreement between the City of Fresno and Caltrans for the Transportation Art Project at San Pablo Park.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Staff is requesting authority to enter into a Transportation Art Maintenance agreement with Caltrans for the Transportation Art Project at San Pablo Park. This agreement will ensure that the art project is maintained, facilitate cleanliness and access for the public to view the artwork.

BACKGROUND

On January 27, 2022, the City Council authorized the Public Works Department to submit a Grant Application to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for the State of California's Clean California Local Grant Program (CCLGP); a program created to beautify and clean up local streets and roads, tribal lands, parks, pathways, transit centers, and other public spaces.
