RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council adopt the attached Resolution of the Council of the City of Fresno of the intention to vacate portions of city-owned right of way located at the northeast corner of North Milburn Avenue and West Dakota Avenue for Dolores Huerta Park and set the required hearing at 9:10 a.m. on September 17, 2026.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Dolores Huerta Park project (Project) will provide 4.5 acres of recreational amenities and landscape plantings. City staff proposes vacating portions of city-owned right of way (adjacent to Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 511-200-30T) located at the northeast corner of North Milburn Avenue and West Dakota Avenue for Dolores Huerta Park. The proposed vacation of the public street easement is described and shown in Exhibits "A" and "B" of the attached resolution with a reservation of a public utility easement as described and shown in Exhibits "C" and "D".
The Dolores Huerta Park project is funded by Proposition 68 and Park Impact Fee appropriations.
