RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends that City Council adopt a finding of Categorical Exemption of Class 3, pursuant to Section 15303(d) (New construction or conversion of small structures) and Class 4, pursuant to Section 15304(f) (Minor alterations to land) of the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines ("CEQA") and award a $195,185 contract to Floyd Johnston Construction Company, Inc. of Clovis, California.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Department of Public Utilities ("DPU") Wastewater Management Division is seeking to award a construction contract for eight new manhole access sewer structures within the City of Fresno. These access structures are used for sewer system maintenance. Staff recommends City Council adopt a finding of Categorical Exemption of Class 3, pursuant to Section 15303(d) (New construction or conversion of small structures) and Class 4, pursuant to Section 15304(f) (Minor alterations to land) of the CEQA Guidelines and award a $195,185 contract to Floyd Johnston Construction Company, Inc. of Clovis, California, as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
