Approve Second Amendment to the Agreement with AECOM Technical Services Inc., of Fresno, California for professional engineering services for the design modification of existing sewer infrastructure in the H/Broadway Downtown Alley for a net increase of $6,931 bringing the total fee to $76,846 (Council District 3)

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council approve an amendment to the consultant agreement in the amount of $6,931 with AECOM Technical Services Inc., a California corporation of Fresno, California for the additional design of sewer infrastructure in the H/Broadway Downtown Alley.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
On September 25, 2015 the City entered into an agreement with AECOM Technical Services Inc. for the design of sewer rehabilitation and replacement in the Congo and H/Broadway Downtown Alleys. During the 90% design review, potential development plans for The Hotel Fresno were identified by City officials. One hundred seventy linear feet of sewer originally intended for abandonment must now be designed for rehabilitation. Staff is seeking to amend the contract in the amount of $6,931 with AECOM Technical Services Inc. of Fresno, California.
BACKGROUND
In 2015 the City entered into an agreement with AECOM Technical Services Inc. for the design of sewer rehabilitation and replacement in the Congo and H/Broadway downtown alleys. In January 2016 the City entered into an amendment to the contract to correct naming discrepancies.
