Actions pertaining to the W. Almy Avenue Street Reconstruction Project - Bid File 3471 (Council District 3 and Fresno County)
1. Adopt a finding of Categorical Exemption per staff determination, pursuant to Section 15301(c) Class 1 of the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines (CEQA) for the W. Almy Avenue Street Reconstruction Project
2. Award a Construction Contract with Dave Christian Construction Co. of Fresno, California in the amount of $686,446 for the W. Almy Avenue Street Reconstruction Project and authorize the Public Works Director or designee to sign a contract on behalf of the City

RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends that the City Council adopt a finding of Categorical Exemption per staff determination, pursuant to Section 15301(c) Class 1 of the CEQA Guidelines and award a construction contract with Dave Christian Construction Co., of Fresno, California in the amount of $686,446 as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the West Almy Avenue Street Reconstruction Project and authorize the Public Works Director or designee to sign a standardized contract on behalf of the City.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The pavement along West Almy Avenue between Fig Avenue and Clara Avenue is in a state of severe disrepair. The proposed project will replace the existing deteriorated pavement providing a smooth riding surface for vehicular traffic along West Almy Avenue.
