SUBJECT
Title
RESOLUTION - Dedicating certain city-owned property as an easement for water main purposes located on Outlot D of Tract 5935 (Council District 4).
Body

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends the City Council adopt the attached resolution ordering the dedication of a water line easement, in the area of Outlot "D" of Tract 5935, as described in Exhibit "A" and shown in Exhibit "B" of the attached resolution.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The proposed dedication is needed to accommodate the requirement for two independent water sources for Tentative Tract 5971. The Public Works Department seeks dedication to fulfill this requirement. Prior to any construction on Outlot "D", a neighborhood meeting will be held to discuss the upcoming construction.

BACKGROUND

The proposed dedication described in Exhibit "A" and shown in Exhibit "B" of the attached resolution is needed to accommodate the construction of a water line easement, which is required as a condition of development for Tentative Tract 5971.

The Traffic and Engineering Services Division, other City departments and utility agencies have reviewed the proposed dedication and determined that the easement is adequate to accommodate the requirement for two independent water sources for Tentative Tract 5971.

The City Attorney's Office has approved the attached Resolution as to form.
