Title
Actions pertaining to installation of LED ball field light fixtures at Melody Park:
1. Adopt a finding of categorical exemption pursuant to Section 15303 of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines
2. Award contract to Musco Lighting Systems for $263,230.13

RECOMMENDATION
On December 15, 2016, Council approved the appropriation of $300,000 to the PARCS Department for the Melody Park Ball Field Lighting Upgrade Project. The attached agreement will allow MUSCO to proceed with this project, which will include the installation of two (2) new light poles, new LED fixtures for both the ball field and the tennis/basketball courts, as well as replace any damaged wiring and conduit. These fixtures will not only be more energy-efficient, but will also allow for the ball field to be used as a dual-usage field for soccer and baseball.
