Approve an agreement for Professional Engineering Services with Cornerstone Structural Engineering Group, Inc. for $82,068 plus a $7,500 contingency for design and construction support services for the Bridge Preventive Maintenance Program, Phase 2 Project. (Council Districts 3, 4, 5, and 7)

RECOMMENDATION
Staff recommends approval of an agreement for Professional Engineering Services with Cornerstone Structural Engineering Group Inc., for $82,068 plus a $7,500 contingency for the design and construction support phases of the Bridge Preventive Maintenance Program, Phase 2 Project, and to authorize the Public Works Director or designee to sign the agreement on the City's behalf.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Bridge Preventive Maintenance Program, Phase 2 Project will implement preventive maintenance on five bridges within the City of Fresno. The preventive maintenance treatments will extend the life of five bridges listed below and include bridge maintenance treatments such as scour mitigation, replacing missing joint seals, fixing damaged asphalt and concrete approach slabs, concrete wingwalls, sidewalks, median islands, and treating the concrete bridge decks with methacrylate crack sealant.
The five bridges are:
* Clovis Avenue Bridge (Br. No. 42C-0032) over Fancher Creek, north of Huntington Blvd.
* First Avenue Bridge (Br. No 42C-0198) over Mill Ditch, south of McKinley Avenue
* Van Ness Avenue Bridge (No. 42C-0205) at Olive Avenue
* Maple Avenue Bridge (Br. No. 42C-0217) over Mill Ditch, south of McKinley Avenue.
* Millbrook Avenue Bridge (Br. No. 42C-0611) over Mill Ditch, south of McKinley Avenue.
