Approve an agreement for Professional Engineering Services with Peters Engineering Group for $116,295 plus a $10,000 contingency for design and construction support services for the Olive Avenue Streetscape from Roosevelt Avenue to Yosemite Avenue. (Council District 1 and 3)

RECOMMENDATIONS
Staff recommends approval of an agreement for Professional Engineering Services with Peters Engineering Group for $116,295 plus a $10,000 contingency for the design and construction support phases of the Olive Avenue Streetscape from Roosevelt Avenue to Yosemite Avenue and to allow the Public Works Director or designee to sign the agreement on the City's behalf.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The street infrastructure along Olive Avenue from Roosevelt Avenue to Yosemite Avenue, within the Tower District, is in need of repair and upgrade. The Tower District Specific Plan provides guidelines to improve the pavement, sidewalk and other street amenities while maintaining the physical integrity and historic character of the Tower District. The City of Fresno applied for a Regional Surface Transportation Program (RSTP) grant to fund professional engineering and construction of the Olive Avenue Streetscape from Roosevelt Avenue to Yosemite Avenue. The subject consultant agreement will facilitate the design and construction support services necessary to complete the project.
