RECOMMENDATION
Recommend Council approve three agreements for homeless family services between the City of Fresno (City) and Saint Agnes Medical Center, Marjaree Mason Center, and Poverello House, (Contractors) for homeless family services under the Homeless Emergency Aid Program (HEAP) for total amount of $314,243.00 effective September 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The City of Fresno is seeking to award contracts for homeless family services to include coordinated diversion, connection to community resources, housing placement, health stabilization and other services designed to address homelessness in families in the City (Homeless Family Services). Three organizations responded to the RFP and were evaluated by a qualified panel. Based on this RFP process, staff recommends Saint Agnes Medical Center, Marjaree Mason Center, and Poverello House for two-year agreements in the total amount of $314,243.00.
BACKGROUND
On March 14, 2019, City Council approved a Revised Spending Plan for City of Fresno's HEAP funds in the amount of $3,105,519.00 in HEAP Funding awarded by the State of California Coordinating and Financing Council to the City of Fresno December 20, 2018.
