RECOMMENDATION

Staff recommends Council approve a Fourth Amendment to the professional consultant agreement with Blair, Church & Flynn, Consulting Engineers, Inc., (BC&F) in the amount of $32,462, to provide additional civil engineering design services and prepare construction documents necessary to complete the design and construction of Phase One of the Peach Avenue Widening Project between Butler and Florence Avenues and authorize the Public Works Director or designee to sign the fourth amendment to agreement on behalf of the City of Fresno.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The City of Fresno seeks to construct street improvements and widen Peach Avenue between Butler and Jensen Avenues from two lanes to a four-lane arterial with median landscaping, left turn lanes, bike lanes, curb and gutter, sidewalk, landscaping, streetlights, and traffic signal facilities. Due to funding availability the project will be constructed in two phases; from Butler Avenue to Florence Avenue (Phase One) and Florence Avenue to Jensen Avenue (Phase Two). The consultant completed the 90 percent plans and specifications for Phase One and Phase Two.
