RECOMMENDATIONS

Staff recommends that City Council approve the Second Amendment to Consultant Services Agreement (Agreement) with Lars Andersen & Associates, Inc., (Consultant) to increase the original contract amount of $49,700 by $8,000 for a total amended contract amount of $57,700 to update the plans and specifications and bidding support in order to rebid the Solid Waste Convenience Center (Facility) (Project); and authorize the Director of Public Utilities, or designee, to sign the Amendment on behalf of the City of Fresno (City).

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

On October 18, 2018, the City entered into an Agreement with Consultant in the amount of $49,700 for the preparation of plans and specifications for the construction of the Facility. On February 28, 2020, Contractor services for the construction of the Facility were solicited. Bids were received but due to insufficient funding to award a Contract, all bids were rejected. For Fiscal Year 2021, the Department of Public Utilities was able to fully fund the Project and rebid the construction contract.
