RECOMMENDATIONS

Staff recommends that Council adopt the 64th Amendment to the Annual Appropriation Resolution (AAR) No. 2021-178, approve an agreement with The Taylor Group Architects in the amount of $965,000 plus a contingency of $80,000 for the design and preparation of construction documents for the new permanent Fire Station No. 12 Project and authorize the Public Works Director or designee to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City of Fresno.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Fire Station 12's district emergency responses have increased beyond the capacity of the current station located at 2874 West Acacia Avenue. On December 9, 2021, Council approved the purchase of a 1.95-acre parcel for the construction of new permanent Fire Station No. 12 and adopted the 36th Amendment to the Annual Appropriation Resolution No. 2021-178 which included funds for professional design services for the preparation of construction documents for the new Fire Station No. 12.
